The Glace-Guard™ Impact Traffic HD door combines insulation performance and robustness, while being light and durable.
Its 2” thick panels are made of impact resistant Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) composite skins and are insulated with an expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam core. The composite panels are extremely impact resistant. The FRP composite skin, with a high strength with low unit weight, is the strongest commercial material available.

The Glace-Guard™ Impact Traffic door hardware is heavy duty and precise. It is engineered to operate by gravity and to withstand an intensive usage, while providing smoothness of operation.

Panel

Panels are made out of highly impact-resistant thermoplastic composite skins and are insulated with an shock absorbing expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam core.

Single panel: Up to 36″ W. x 120″ H. (914mm W. x 3048mm H.)

Double panel: Up to 72″ W. x 120″ H. (1829mm W. x 3048mm H.)

2″ (50mm) thick

Finish

Smooth, white finish. Optional shop painted color.

Hardware

Heavy duty gravity type hinges, double acting and allowing smooth swinging in both directions.

Upper hinge system consists of a pivot pin with an offset from the door jamb. Lower hinge system consists of a similar bottom pivot pin with a slightly shorter offset.

As the door is pushed open, its panels change from a vertical plane to a slightly angled plane, due to the position of the pivot pins. The weight of the panels, or gravity, causes the door to return into closed position by itself.

Perimeter and bottom weather seal

U-shaped, flexible PVC weather seal, retained in a heavy duty extruded aluminum retainer, securely fastened to the four sides of each door panel.

Glazing

Thermo sealed acrylic or SDP-16 polycarbonate window, 12″ x 24″ (305mm x 610mm), black moulding.

Impact plate

One 5/32” (4mm) thick, 24” (610mm) high, HDPE impact plates on each side, for a total of two plates on each door panel, protecting the door from scratches and offering extra-robustness to the panel.

Painted color

Optional shop painted color, to be selected from the RAL color chart.
