General warranty
The Thermostop Tradition, Sentinel, AluRoyal, AL-2000, Breakfree 200 & Breakfree 400 doors and hardware carry a warranty of one (1) year, from the date of delivery, against any defects or faulty workmanship.
10-year warranty against perforation due to rusting
Concerning the polyurethane insulated panels made with white pre-painted steel or white pre-painted aluminum skins or 16ga. clear anodized aluminum skins, THERMOSTOP offers a ten-year warranty against peeling, cracking or rust, under normal environment conditions, i.e. environment that is free of corrosive matters (high pollution, salt air, toxic vapor, etc.).
This warranty is on a proportional decreasing basis over 10 years, at 10% per year.Warranty against delamination
White pre-painted steel or white pre-painted aluminium insulated doors or clear anodized aluminum
THERMOSTOP INC offers a 5-year warranty against delamination, from the date of delivery, on white pre-painted steel or white pre-painted aluminiumin or clear anodized aluminum insulated doors. This warranty is on a proportional decreasing basis over 5 years, at 20% per year. This warranty does not apply to steel or aluminum skins to be shop or site painted in color (other than white), either by THERMOSTOP, or by the distributor, or by a third party.
Color shop or site painted insulated doors
THERMOSTOP INC offers a one-year warranty against delamination, from the date of delivery, on steel or aluminum insulated doors or aluminum panel doors, shop or site painted in color (other than white).
Please note that any dark coating on insulated doors or aluminum panel doors, is not recommended and may invalidate the warranty if the door is exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Dark coatings absorb and retain the heat and may lead to delamination or to peeling of the paint coating.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
- The distributor or the end-user accepts that the present warranty is the only one applicable on the Thermostop products.
- This warranty is conditional to an adequate storage of the doors, after delivery and before installation, and to a regular maintenance of the doors according to the Thermostop Maintenance Instructions.
- The warranty does not cover the damages caused by faulty installation, abusive usage, negligence, or alterations made by the Buyer or any third party.
- Any claim should be made in writing to THERMOSTOP INC within 30 days following the occurence of the deficiency, and this, within the period of validity of the warranty.
In case of defects, THERMOSTOP INC.’s liability is strictly limited to replacement or to repair, F.O.B. THERMOSTOP INC. plant, of any material, parts or goods which may be defective.
THERMOSTOP INC. shall not, in any event, be liable for:
- the costs of transport;
- the on-site labor;
- the penalties or the direct or indirect damages, of any nature, resulting from the defects.
