The Armatech cold storage sliding door is a high speed impactable sliding door. It has the capability of releasing its breakaway door panels outward upon impact. The Armatech cooler / freezer sliding door panels are made out of highly impact resistant composite skins with an EPS foam core. The breakaway Armatech hardware allows the door panels to swing open when they get impacted by a forklift and to be set right back into place. The hardware consists of a heavy-duty double track system with trolley assembly roller systems. The track system is slanted from center to end(s) to ensure a tight seal and to reduce seal wear. All components are made of aluminum or galvanized steel, or are zinc-coated for food applications. For freezer applications, the Armatech impactable sliding door is outfitted with heat trace on its four sides to prevent ice or frost accumulation and to avoid the need for a heated threshold. All Armatech cooler / freezer sliding doors come with a standard self- supporting extruded aluminum face frame that carries the door, hardware and motor weight. The Armatech impactable sliding door is motorized with a high speed variable frequency soft-start soft-stop DC servo motor system.

The panel is hinged to the trolley assembly to allow the door to swing away from the wall upon impact. A guide system ensures the precise movement of the door panels at high speed while allowing it to break free upon impact.
The hardware consists of a heavy-duty double track system and trolley assembly roller systems. The trolley assembly stabilizes the movements of the panels at high speed and is equipped with solid tire rollers to support an intensive usage. For freezer applications, the door panels and frame are equipped with a heat trace on four sides to prevent ice or frost accumulation, and to avoid the need of a heated threshold.
